Following the groundbreaking ceremony of Kartarpur corridor, in Pakistan, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran who laid the foundation stone on Wednesday said that the only issue between India and Pakistan is Kashmir; and it all needs is just two capable leadership to resolve this issue. “Just imagine the potential we have if our relationships get stronger. And I want a strong relationship with India,” Khan while addressing a gathering said.

Khan laid the foundation stone, and the groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and other Pakistani officials at Narowal in Kartarpur. While, in India, the groundbreaking ceremony in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district was performed on November 26, 2018, two days before Pakistan’s ceremony.

Meanwhile, reacting to Khan’s comment that the only issue between India and Pakistan is Kashmir and all it needs is just two capable leaderships to resolve it,” Jammu and Kashmir former chief minister Omar Abdullah said that the comment “issue between us” makes it sound so simple.

“#Kashmir finds a mention at the groundbreaking of the #KartarpuraCorridor. “The only issue between us is Kashmir”. Makes it sound so simple,” Omar wrote on twitter.

The Kartarpur Corridor is a proposed border corridor between India and Pakistan. It connects the Sikh shrine of Dera Baba Nanak Sahib-located in Punjab, India, and the shrine of Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur in Pakistan.
