In a tragic accident in Rajouri district, at least seven passengers died and several others injured after a bus skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge on Thursday near Siot in Rajouri district of Jammu division.
An official said that seven passengers died and several persons were injured in the mishap at Lamberi near Siot in Rajouri district.
He said that the exact details of the dead and injured will be released once rescue operations were over.
“The bus was on its way to Jammu from Surankote in Poonch. The exact cause of the mishap is being investigated,”said an official.
Meanwhile, police have taken the cognizance of the incident.
