Severe cold wave in Kashmir, Srinagar freezes at minus 6.1

The Jammu and Kashmir meteorological department has forecasted weather to remain dry till Jan 11.

An official of the Met Department said that the weather is likely to remain dry till January 11, as the clouds cover has disappeared from the sky.

The Srinagar city has recorded minus 6.1 degree Celsius temperature.

The tourist destinations Pahalgam has recorded minus 8.1 and Gulmarg has recorded minus 10.6 degree Celsius. Kupwara has recorded minus 5.5 degree Celsius, Kokernag minus 4.2 and Qazigund has recorded minus 5.8, respectively.

The Jammu city has recorded 4.3, Katra 5.0, Batote 1.6, Banihal 0.8, Bhaderwah 0.8 and Udhampur was at three degrees Celsius.
