The Srinagar-Jammu highway was blocked on Tuesday due to landslides in Ramban district of Jammu division.

An official said that landslide was triggered by rain in Ramsoo sector of on the highway, blocking the movement of vehicles on the strategic highway that connects Kashmir with the rest of the world.

He said that the movement of traffic remained suspended on the traffic from the past more than two hours.

Men and machinery have been pressed into service to restore the movement of traffic on the highway, he said.
