The Srinagar-Jammu highway was again blocked on Saturday due to landslides after heavy rains along the highway, reports said.
An official said that due to landslide at Marog area, the highway was blocked and traffic came to halt” traffic officials said.
Due to the landslide at Rambhan the traffic has been closed, this precaution has been taken keeping the safety of the travellers in mind,” the official added.
Since all essentials of life are routed into the landlocked Kashmir Valley through this highway, people of the valley often go through many problems when there is no connection with other parts of the world.
Meanwhile, men and machinery has been pressed into service to take up the clearance work.
