Traffic department on Thursday said that decision about allowing vehicular traffic on Srinagar-Jammu highway will be taken tomorrow.
The traffic department in a statement said keeping in view the inclement weather condition/forecast made by MeT department and snow accumulation at Banihal- Jawahar
Tunnel -Qazigund stretches, landslides occurred at various places along the highway.
“The decision regarding the vehicular movement on Jammu- Srinagar NHW-44 shall be taken tomorrow on 08.02.2019 after assessing the weather/road condition,” it said.
Meanwhile, the traffic on historical Mughal road, and Srinagar-Sonamarg, Gumri remained closed due to the accumulation of snow.
People are requested to undertake a journey only after confirming the status of the road from below mentioned phone Nos.
