All Parties Hurriyat Conference (g) Secretary General and Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chief Shabir Ahmad Shah, on Friday prayed for the speedy recovery of the Hurriyat Conference (g) chairperson, Syed Ali Geelani who was hospitalised on Thursday.
In a statement issued to press, Shah said, “Geelani Sahib is a symbol of greatness in our resistance movement and his contribution to freedom struggle is a guide for us.”
DFP organised a prayer meeting at its Sanat Nagar headquarters in which special prayers were made for Geelani Sahib’s early recovery, the statement said this afternoon.
Meanwhile, Shah while paying tribute to K H Khursheed on his 28th anniversary said the deceased was a “real patriot and a real son of soil”.
“Late K H Khursheed was a selfless leader who dedicated his life to fight for his oppressed nation. He played a great role in Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah-led Muslim League while serving as its general secretary in 1944. Even Quaid-e-Azam testified it that he achieved Pakistan with unrelenting role played by K H Khursheed,” Shah said and prayed for highest place in Jannah for the late leader.
