In a major development in separatist camp on Wednesday, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan and Aga Syed Hassan Al Moosvi joined Hurriyat Conference (g).

The decision was announced in a hurriedly called crowded press conference by Hurriyat (g) which was addressed by Hurriyat patriarch, Syed Ali Geelani, apart from the trio.

Defending the decision, National Front Chairperson, Nayeem Ahmad Khan said, “it is an ideological unity.”

Nayeem while explaining the process of joining Hurriyat (g) said, “by coming together of RSS and BJP, Muslim identity of J&K is under threat and who else than Geelani can lead to face such a huge challenge.”

Pertinently, Shabir Shah, Nayeem Khan and Aga Hassan were part of Hurriyat led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq till recent past. Shah and Khan later formed their own amalgam called Hurriyat JK. Aga Hassan was expelled by Mirwaiz alleging him by maligning the group. However, Aga had responded saying, “I myself left the group as it has deviated from APHC 1993 constitution.”

Welcoming the group in his faction, Geelani said, “our doors are open for everyone whosoever is sincere to movement.”

Geelani castigated the Mufti led PDP-BJP government for detaining Hurriyat leaders. “It will have serious consequences,” Geelani warned.

Geelani also thanked Pakistan for its support and prayed for its stability.

Shah, Khan and Aga also called on on Tehreek-I-Hurriyat Secretary General, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in his office and enquired about his health.
