Islamic Students League (ISL) patron and senior resistance leader Shakeel Ahmad Bakhshi has been lodged in Central Jail here in connection with a case of year 2007.
His brother and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) leader, Showkat Bakhshi, told GNS over phone that Shakeel was held yesterday from Lower Court and was shifted to Central Jail.
“He is on 5 day judicial remand in connection with a case of year 2007. Besides Shakeel, there are 13 more accused in the case,” Showkat said, adding that the next hearing for the case is on 16th of June.
However, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amit Kumar said that they did not pick Shakeel but he was detained in connection with a court case.
