Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor, Dr Raghuram G Rajan, Saturday visited the Industrial Unit Shalimar Floorings Pvt Ltd situated at Bari Brahamana Jammu.
He was accompanied by Chairman J&K Bank Ltd, Mushtaq Ahmad.
“Dr Rajan was impressed to see the working of fully automatic carpet weaving advance technology in the field of carpet manufacturing,” a statement issued by Shalimar Floorings said last evening.
The RBI governor was appraised about the working of the unit by the Director of the company Rakesh Bhat.
“The dignitaries went through the whole manufacturing process and met the designers and applauded their contribution in developing the latest carpet designs. They also saw the manufacturing process minutely and were very happy to see such a state of art unit in our state,” the statement informed.
During their interaction, Rakesh Bhat appraised Hon’ble Governor the problems being faced by the entrepreneurs and suggested several measures to ease the financing to the new ‘Ist Generation’ entrepreneurs who need a big support from the banks and to make their dream projects come true, the statement added.
