Shalteng stormwater drainage: Commuters appealed to cooperate with administration


The Rs 17 crore stormwater drainage project at Shalteng is in full swing with work having now been started at the main square at HMT.

The work at the said square was started this morning after concerned authorities finally gave permission for a road cut at the spot.

The district administration has appealed to the general public of the district to bear and cooperate with it adding that hindrances in traffic movement around the spot would be minimised as much as possible.

It was informed that work at the said square – which connects the drainage already laid on either side thereof – would be completed within a month.

It is notable the Shalteng stormwater drainage scheme is an important drainage project benefiting some 75 thousand households.
