SRINAGAR: Sharp Sight Eye Hospitals, a leading chain of ophthalmic centres in North and Eastern India, celebrated ten years of operations in Kashmir by introducing a range of advanced eye care technologies.
At a commemorative event in Srinagar, the hospital launched Extended Depth of Focus (EDOF) lenses for cataract patients, myopia control glasses for children, enhanced retina services, oculoplasty and eye cancer management facilities, along with modern glaucoma treatment protocols.
Dr Samir Sud, Co-founder and Director of Sharp Sight, said the hospital remained committed to providing innovative yet affordable eye care in the Valley. He noted that EDOF lenses reduce dependence on spectacles while offering clear vision at multiple distances, and highlighted the growing need for myopia control solutions among children due to increased screen exposure.
Chief Executive Officer Deepshikha Sharma underlined the hospital’s contribution to the region, stating that it treats nearly 100,000 patients annually in Kashmir and has performed over 10,000 surgeries in the last decade. “Our goal is to deliver metro-level treatment locally, combining advanced technology with compassionate care,” she said.
Sharp Sight Eye Hospitals, which has been operational in India for more than two decades under the motto Aao Accha Dekhein, continues to expand its reach with the aim of making high-quality, cost-effective eye care accessible nationwide.
