SRINAGAR: The Shawwal crescent has been sighted across Kashmir on Saturday evening, confirming that Eid Al-Fitr will be celebrated across Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow.

Eid Al-Fitr, one of the most significant festivals in Islam, is celebrated with special prayers, feasting, and acts of charity.
The Grand Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam also confirmed the news saying, enough witnesses for the sighting of Shawwal moon have been received from across J&K, marking the end of holy month of Ramadan.
Markets in Srinagar saw a surge in last-minute shopping as families prepared for the festival, purchasing traditional sweets, clothing, and gifts. Bakeries and confectionery shops remained crowded.
Earlier, Waqf Board confirmed that the largest gathering of Eid prayers will be held in Dargah, Hazratbal. There will be no prayers at Eidgah, Srinagar due to ongoing construction work, as per the board.
