SRINAGAR: Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Bijbehara, Majid Ahmad Khan, was injured after being hit by a vehicle while performing his official duty in Anantnag district on Sunday evening.
Quoting officials, news agency GNS reported that the incident occurred near Police Station Bijbehara when a vehicle struck the SHO while he was on duty.
The officer sustained injuries and was immediately evacuated to Sub-District Hospital Bijbehara, where he received initial treatment. He was later referred to Bone and Joint Hospital, Srinagar, for specialised treatment.
Meanwhile, the vehicle involved in the accident has been identified as an Alto K10 bearing registration number JK16A-3739.
