Srinagar: A minor boy was killed on Wednesday after a shooting stone hit him near Zojila pass on Srinagar-Leh highway.
The minor identified as Abrar Ahmad Khatana, 12, Son of Ishtiyak Ahmad Khatana, a resident of Kandiwara village of south Kashmir’s Islamabad district died on the spot after a shooting stone hit him near Zojila pass on Srinagar-Leh highway.
A police official said that the slain minor was travelling with his father in a truck bearing registration number JK02AJ-1517, from Srinagar to Kargil, the duo- father and son had stopped at Pani Matha Zojila Pass for lunch on today afternoon, in the meantime a stone rolled down from a hillock and hit the minor, resulting in his on spot death.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered in this regard and further investigations have been taken up.
