Officials said that due to the bad road conditions, only one-way traffic was allowed on the highway on Saturday and the vehicles will be plying from Jammu to Srinagar.
“Due to the minor landslides and shooting stones at Battery Chasma, on Srinagar Jammu highway the vehicular movement was disrupted for some time. Authorities have started highway clearance operation and are expected to reopen from both the sides soon,” an official from traffic department said.
The shooting stones have reduced the width of the road which is troubling the movement and forcing for a clear one-way movement only.
