Authorities on Friday stopped the Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani when he tried to move out from his residence at Hydepora Srinagar.
The spokesman said Geelani was detained again when he tried to march towards the Shopian for a proposed call by JRL.
A heavy contingent of police and CRPF deployed outside his residence had sealed the road with concertina wires and did not allow him to move outside, a spokesman said.
