SRINAGAR: Three militants killed in a gunfight with the counter-insurgent forces at Nagbal area in south Kashmir’s Shopian district were affiliated with the Lashkar-I-Toiba outfit, an official said.
An official said that all the slain militants were identified as Danish Khursheed Bhat, Tanveer Wani and Towseef Bhat all locals.
He said that they were involved in several crime cases and Danish was involved in recruitment of youth into militant ranks in Shopian.
Earlier, police had said that three militants were killed in the encounter at Nagbal area of Shopian district.
