With separatist already having rejected the enquiry orders in Shopian firing incidents, locals too don’t seem to be much enthusiastic about it as no one turned out for the deposition on Monday for recording the statement with the Deputy Commissioner Shopian who has been appointed as the enquiry officer to find out the facts pertaining to the two separate firing incidents that led five people dead.
The Deputy Commissioner had issued a public notice asking eyewitnesses to depose before the commission from September 16 to 21 for recording of the statements however sources told a local news agency, KNS that no one turned up for the same till late afternoon.
When contacted Deputy Commissioner Shopian Bashir Ahmad Bhat Confirmed to KNS that his office did not receive any eyewitness till afternoon.
