SRINAGAR: Two more militants were killed in an encounter with the counter-insurgent forces in Kiloora area of Shopian district taking the death toll of militants to four.
An army official said that two more militants were killed and one militant was appended alive in the gunfight in Kiloora area of Shopian district.
Police identified two of the slain militants as district commander of Al Badr Shakoor Parray and Suhail Bhat. Police said the two were involved in the abduction and killing of Khanmoh’s Panch whose body was recovered earlier the day from an orchard in Shopian.
The search operation is on in the area and further details are awaited.
Earlier, police had said that two militants were killed in the encounter.
