SRINAGAR: An army personnel who was injured along with two other colleagues in an encounter with militants in Wangam area of Shopian district has succumbed to injuries.
Reports said that he was rushed to Army base hospital in Srinagar where he breathed his last.
An official said that the three army men were injured in the gunfight at Wangam Shopian and one among them identified as Pinku Kumar succumbed to his injuries.
Earlier, police had said that one militant was killed in the encounter on Saturday in Wangam.
