SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two persons allegedly involved in the IED explosion in a private vehicle in Sedow area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
While addressing a press conference SSP Shopian Tanushree said that two militant associates identified as Showket Ahmad Sheikh age 26 s/o Abdul Ahad Sheikh and Parvaiz Ahmad Lone s/o Nazir Ahmad Lone both residents of Sedow were arrested in the IED explosion in a private vehicle case that left an army man dead and three others injured.
She said that Abid Ramzan Sheikh an active militant of LeT outfit is behind the blast.
“Abid provided explosives and he also provided the training to the accused which led to the blast,” said SSP Shopian.
She added that the case has been registered under section 307,302, IPC,3/4,16/20 UAPA in this regard and further investigation is under process.
