Intense clashes erupted between protesting youth and forces on Wednesday in Pulwama town in southern part of Kashmir amidst complete shutdown against the killing of a young student at the hands of forces.

Youth took to streets amid massive sloganeering in favour of “Aazadi” and hurled stones on police and paramilitary personnel deployed in the town.
Forces, deployed in the town responded by firing tear smoke shells, triggering massive clashes.
Adil Farooq Magray, a college student, was hit by a bullet in his chest after forces opened fire to disperse protesters who pelted stones on forces during a cordon and search operation.
