SRINAGAR

The Judicial Commission headed by retired Justice ML Koul, has provided three more days to CRPF to file its report before the Commission in the Shopian killing incident.

Three youth were killed in CRPF firing on September 7, 2013 when Zubin Mehta was to perform his program in Shalimar Garden.

Sources said that earlier CRPF had sought more time for the submission of its counter report.

Then CRPF camp stationed at Gagren area of the southern apple town had killed three youth.

One of the deceased was identified as a militant. The other two were identified as civilians one from the Shopian town and another from Kulgam area.

One more local youth was later killed in CRPF firing by the same CRPF camp in another incident.

Later succumbing to the protest, government shifted the CRPF camp.

After a strong protest in the town and a continuous shutdown for more than two weeks, government had appointed a Judicial commission to probe the killings.
