Pall of gloom was seen in Bon Bazar Shopian when the news of Nazir Ahmad Wani’s death spread in the area.
Working in State government’s food and supplies department, Nazir had gone to perform Hajj this year, where according to family sources he breathed his last.
According to family, they got call from his number and the caller was from Pakistan who told them that he found body of Nazir at some place in Makkah. Giving details the caller, family told Kashmir Life that Nazir after throwing stones at Satan, one of the practices during hajj, while coming back had lost consciousness and doctors declared him dead.
Family sources further said that person of same village Nisar Ahmad, who is also in Makkah for Hajj purpose was called by family and he has done the last rites of the deceased.
