A complete shutdown is being observed in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on the fifth anniversary of four youth who were killed in a firing by government forces in 2013.

Reports said that all shops and businesses establishments are shut in the area, while public traffic is off the roads.

Four youth including a non-local Labourer, Tawseef Ahmad Bhat resident of Baba Mohalla Shopian, Mohammad Yousuf Sofi resident of Durpora, Zainapora, Shopian and Tariq Ahmad Mir resident of Okay, Kulgam were killed in Gagren area of the  Shopian on this day in 2013.

Sources said that people from adjoining areas are visiting the homes of the slain civilians to offer condolences.
