Paying tributes to the slain militants who were killed in an encounter with forces in Sopore early Saturday, Dukhtaran-e-Millat on Saturday said that the youth lay their lives to end the “slavery of the nation”, putting a huge responsibility on our shoulders to honour their sacrifices and take the movement to logical end.
In a statement issued here, the DeM chairperson Syedah Asiya Andrabi criticised the “criminal” silence of the world community, and said that their insensitivity and unconcern is the sole reason for this unabated “bloodshed” in Kashmir.
Andrabi said that the world forums, which stand witness to our dispute, act as mute spectators, thereby legitimizing and legalizing the “brutalities unleashed” in this region for the last 70 years.
“Had these so-called super powers acted to their tall claims, India could not have dared to continue its repression and peace would have been ensured since long,” Andrabi said while paying glorious tributes to the slain militants.
She said the youth are on the forefront of the movement laying their precious lives, or livelihood, or facing the hardships in jails.
“They bravely and willingly offer their today for our tomorrow. Our nation used every democratic and peaceful means for about 40 years to fight this aggression—but India responded ruthlessly and beastly without giving an ear to the aspirations and just voices, negating the historical legitimacy of this dispute. This arrogance, haughtiness and persistent denial can’t hold water for long and India has to come to terms with the writing on the wall, lest this unresolved and unaddressed volcano can erupt and burst anytime—engulfing millions of people in this region,” Andrabi said.
She said that it is the 4th generation which is daring Indian “autocratic, illegal and forced occupation” and warned that the tsunami of human heads especially youth is always “uncontrollable and unstoppable”.
