Despite the killing of a youth in Baramulla and injuring of many others, Police on Tuesday claimed that the situation remained by and large peaceful across the valley. It added that though there were reports of stone pelting from some areas of Srinagar and elsewhere.
According to police some “miscreants” pelted stones in Gawkadal, Habakadal, Qamarwari Chowk, Rozbal, Kawdara and Safakadal in Srinagar city and Gagran and Shirmal in Shopian. “No one has been reported to be injured so far,” police claimed.
