However, sources said that three people were injured in Kurhama, incident identified as Mohammad Yousuf, Zahoor Ahmad and Mushtaq Ahmad.

They added that violent protests also erupted in Gagren area of Shopian town in south Kashmir after Friday prayers. Police used tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters resulting in the injury of Mohammad Sami son of Farooq Ahmad Wagay resident of Mimender.

Curfew was strictly imposed in Shopian town so people were not allowed to gather for Friday prayers but in the adjoining area of Mimender, people marched towards the town after prayers.
