SRINAGAR: Six trains operating through the Jammu division will be diverted along alternate routes between September 21 and 27 due to scheduled construction work at Manawala station in Punjab, railway officials said.
The diversions have been necessitated by pre-non-interlocking and non-interlocking blocks being undertaken for the construction of longer loops at Manawala station on the Jalandhar Cantt–Amritsar section under Firozpur division.
Under the revised route plan, the Pathankot–Delhi Express will operate via Pathankot–Mukerian–Jalandhar Cantt–Ludhiana from September 21 to 27, except September 25. The Delhi–Pathankot Express will run through Ludhiana–Jalandhar Cantt–Mukerian–Pathankot during the same period, except September 24.
The Bhagat Ki Kothi–Jammu Tawi Express (14803) will be diverted via Jalandhar Cantt–Mukerian–Pathankot from September 21 to 26.
The Jammu Tawi–Bhagat Ki Kothi Express (14804) will operate through Pathankot–Mukerian–Jalandhar Cantt from September 21 to 27.
The Tatanagar–Jammu Tawi Express (18101) will follow the Jalandhar Cantt–Mukerian–Pathankot route on September 23 and 25, while the Sambalpur–Jammu Tawi Express (18309) will take the same diversion on September 24.
Railway authorities have advised passengers to verify the latest train running status before travelling through Rail Madad helpline 139 or the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) to avoid inconvenience.
