SRINAGAR: A six-year-old boy died after drowning in a pond in Sumb block of Kathua district, Jammu division, on Tuesday.
Officials told news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC) that the deceased, identified as Kaka Ram, son of Chiman Lal, resident of Ward No. 2, village Sodam, accidentally fell into the pond.
The body was retrieved from the water and handed over to his family members. Police have taken cognisance of the incident and further investigation has started. (KNC)
