Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer SK Sharma, Joint Commissioner of Income Tax, Range Srinagar has been promoted as Additional Commissioner of Income Tax.
He is also holding additional charge of range Jammu.
Sharma had served in Punjab Uttar Pradesh Uttrakhand and J&K in various capacities and had specialization courses in Tax Administration, Tax Payer Services and HRM from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow, Sanford School of Public Policy, Duke University North Carolina USA.
He was recently transferred from Uttar Pradesh to Jammu and Kashmir by the Central Board of Direct Taxes.
Sharma had earlier served the Income Tax Department in Jammu and Kashmir as Deputy Commissioner. Upon his promotion as Joint Commissioner he was transferred to Punjab and subsequently to Uttar Pradesh where he held several important assignments.
