SRINAGAR: Doctors at SKIMS have detected the first post-Covid19 case having a black fungus infection. He is still under investigation.

The patient is a resident of Udhampur and is suffering from diabetes. The Hospital administration has confirmed the detection of the case.

Jammu and Kashmir was already having 22 case – 14 confirmed and 8 suspected cases of Mucormycosis. Of them, four had already lost their lives. These include 11 cases from Jammu, 5 from Kathua, 2 each from Srinagar and Udhampur districts and one each from Poonch and Reasi districts. The four deaths have been reported from Kathua (2), Jammu (1) and Poonch (1) districts.
