SRINAGAR: The Sher e Kashmir Insitute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) in Srinagar is inviting online applications for Stipendiary Junior Residents on a tenure basis. There are 89 available positions, and the period of appointment is six months. The last date to apply is October 28.
Eligible candidates must hold MBBS degree from a recognised institution that meets the criteria set by the National Medical Commission. Applicants must also have a permanent state or central medical registration, domicile certificate of Jammu and Kashmir and a date of birth certificate. All these documents must be issued before the closing date of the application. Candidates shall also need to be below 45 years of age as of the final date of submission for these positions. Certificates that are under process will not be entertained and applications received after the cutoff date will not be accepted.
The selected candidates will be paid a revised stipend and allowances as per the rules. In addition, those junior residents who are not provided with accommodation at the SKIMS campus will be eligible for a house rent allowance.
Interested applicants can access the online application form on the SKIMS website. A fee of Rs 1000 must be submitted online with the application and applicants should retain a printout of the filled form, including all uploaded certificates and the fee receipt, for submission when requested by SKIMS.
The date of the interview and or written test will be announced separately on the SKIMS website. Candidates who applied previously under Advertisement No. 12 of 2024 and were deemed eligible need not apply again. The engagement will be governed by the tenure engagement terms and conditions in place at SKIMS. Appointees are expected to comply with all relevant rules, and any breach of these rules may result in immediate termination of the tenure appointment.
Incomplete applications or those with blurred photographs or signatures will be summarily rejected. Applicants are also advised not to submit hard copies of their online application forms to SKIMS by post or email.
