SRINAGAR: The Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, Srinagar, has announced openings for 46 posts of Professors and Assistant Professors on an Academic Arrangement Basis. These positions are available across various departments, with the upper age limit for applicants set at 63 years. Shortlisted candidates will receive a consolidated monthly salary in line with government norms.
The recruitment process is entirely online and has already started. The last date for submitting applications is 21 January 2025. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply promptly to avoid any last-minute issues.
As per the notification, the monthly salary for Professors (11 posts) will range from Rs 1,44,200 to Rs 2,18,200. For Assistant Professors (35 posts), the monthly salary will range from Rs 67,700 to Rs 2,08,700.
Candidates applying for the post of Professor must hold an MD/MS or equivalent qualification in the relevant specialty. They should also have at least 14 years of teaching or research experience and a minimum of 10 indexed research publications. Those applying for the post of Assistant Professor must possess an MD/MS or equivalent qualification, with at least 3 years of teaching or research experience and a minimum of 2 indexed research publications.
Applicants are required to upload relevant documents, including educational and experience certificates, along with a valid ID proof. Additionally, a non-refundable application fee of ₹5000 must be paid online during the application process.
