SRINAGAR: The Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) is seeking applicants for temporary contract positions as part of an ICMR-funded project titled “A Comprehensive Epidemiological Survey of Avian Influenza Virus in the Migratory Pathways of Jammu and Kashmir.” The project is conducted at the Laboratory of Vaccine Biotechnology, Division of Animal Biotechnology, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, SKUAST-Kashmir.
The deadline for submitting applications is March 11, 2024.
Available positions are as follows:
Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) (2 Positions): Candidates should hold a first-class Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Virology from a recognized university. Alternatively, a second-class Master’s degree with a PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Virology from a recognized university is acceptable. Applicants must be under 35 years old (with relaxation applicable to OBC and SC/ST candidates as per ICMR norms).
Project Technical Support-III (1 position): Candidates must have a post-graduate degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Virology from a recognized university. The maximum age limit is 35 years (with relaxation for OBC and SC/ST candidates as per ICMR norms).
Shortlisted candidates will be notified by March 13, 2024. Interviews are expected to take place on March 15, 2024, with the project commencement date set for March 20, 2024.
