SRINAGAR: Sher-i-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology Kashmir signed an MoU with CellMed Biotech to work jointly on stem cell research.

The MoU was signed at SKUAST-K’s Directorate of Research with an aim at joint collaborative stem cell R&D/ Investigational/Academic/ Clinical trial projects and related activities in Veterinary Sciences. The two parties shall jointly identify the research problems and formulate its work plan.

As per the MoU, SKUAST-K as a research institute will provide ethical and institutional approvals besides, conducting the research work while the financial expenses required for the stem cell research and its demonstrations or presentations in workshops, conferences shall be arranged by the CellMed Biotech Pvt Ltd.

The research projects will be jointly monitored by an in-house stem cell monitoring committee. All the rights, title and interest in and to any inventions, improvements and discoveries created in carrying out the work plans shall be jointly owned by SKUAST-K and CellMed.
