SKUAST Benihama Ganderbal Campus
Faculty of Forestry, SKUAST, campus at Benihama Ganderbal.

The students and staff of Faculty of Forests, SKUAST, at Benihama demand construction of road from Lar to uphill campus at Benihama.

Speaking to Kashmir Life Aqib, a student at the campus said, “the environs of Benihama are apt for studying forestry but improper road connectivity is a major problem.”

“One has to tread uphill from Lar highway up to 2 KM. This not only drains us but serious health complications are apprehended.”

The teachers who also spoke to Kashmir Life said, “It is now a great thing that separate campus has been allotted to Faculty of Forests. But, inaccessible road, lack of drinking water and improper lighting system is causing immense hardships.”

The faculty on the occasion sought redressal of their problems and brought it into the notice of DC Ganderbal Showkat Ajaz, who assured them immediate action.
