SRINAGAR: Skyview by Empyrean, a leading tourism infrastructure project in Jammu’s Sanget Valley, has been awarded the 2nd FICCI Award for Excellence in Maintenance Systems for its world-class ropeway connecting Sanget Valley to Patnitop.
The award was presented to Upen Anand, General Manager of Skyview by Empyrean, by Vikas Kumar, Managing Director of DMRC Limited, at a ceremony held at FICCI’s Federation House in New Delhi. The award recognises companies that demonstrate best-in-class maintenance practices, enhancing operational efficiency and global competitiveness.
Skyview by Empyrean underwent a rigorous selection process, including a detailed questionnaire, a physical site audit, and a jury evaluation. The company showcased its advanced maintenance protocols, highlighting its commitment to safety, efficiency, and sustainability in ropeway operations.

Operational since 2019, the Skyview Gondola transports passengers from Sanget Valley to Patnitop in just 10 minutes. Built in collaboration with global partners POMA, E.R.I.C Ropeways, MND Group, Sage Geotech Inc., and Dianeige Mountain Design, the ropeway adheres to internationally accredited maintenance protocols, ensuring uninterrupted service, passenger safety, and minimal ecological impact.
Skyview by Empyrean has also been recognised as an RTSOI Champion of Sustainability in Tourism Services by the Responsible Tourism Society of India (RTSOI), reinforcing its dedication to sustainable tourism.
