Night temperatures in frontier region of Ladakh and Kashmir valley showed slight decline on Friday, following slight snowfall in upper reaches and light rains in plains last evening.
The MET official said in a statement Leh recorded a low of minus 9.1 degrees Celsius contrary to minus 9.2 yesterday while Kargil recorded a minimum temperature of minus 8.2 degrees Celsius.
Srinagar which had recorded a low of 3.1 degrees Celsius yesterday, recorded a minimum temperature of 2.3 degrees Celsius today.
The twin hill resorts of Pahalgam and Gulmarg recorded a low of minus 4.1 and minus 6, respectively, today compared to yesterday’s minus 5.4 (in Pahalgam).
The night temperature in Jammu was 8.3 degrees celsius while Katra recorded 10 degrees Celsius. Batote, Banihil and Udhampur recorded 5.2, while Bhaderwah town recorded two degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
