A fresh spell of rainfall lashed the plains of Jammu and Kashmir while the higher reaches received moderate snowfall on Thursday.
An official from the met department said that we are expecting improvement in the weather from today afternoon
The minimum temperature on Thursday in Srinagar city recorded 0.1, Pahalgam 1.5 and Gulmarg minus 9.5 degree Celsius temperature.
Jammu city recorded 7.9, Katra 6.5, Batote 1.5, Bannihal 0.5, Bhaderwah 0.1 and Udhampur recorded 5.2 degrees Celsius.
Leh town recorded minus 8.9 and Kargil minus 9.3 degree Celsius as the lowest temperatures on Thursday. At minus 9.3, Kargil was the coldest town in the state.
