Claiming the this winter, government responded to public needs in a best manner, senior National Conference leader, Nasir Aslam Wani Thursday said that fromFriday people will get electricity as per schedule while all the inner lanes of the city would be cleared from snow before Friday morning.

Wani along with SMC, R&B and PDD official toured city centre Lal Chowk to assess the situation on ground. During his visit to Lal Chowk, he told CNS that the priority of the government was to clear main roads so that roads could be made motarable. “We have cleared all the main roads and now our job is to clear snow from inner lanes of the city. By Friday morning, all the inner lanes of the city would be cleared and there will be no complaint afterwards,” he said.

Wani said that PDD had to snap electricity in different parts of Srinagar city as some electric polls were uprooted at a time near Royal Spring. He said that for the first time, Government acted so swiftly soon after the snowfall and maintained order on all fronts. “There is no disturbance at all anywhere and no main road is blocked anywhere in the city,” he said.
