According to traffic authorities, vehicular movement was suspended as a precaution after snowfall intensified in the Banihal sector. Commuters have been advised not to travel on the highway until further notice.

A traffic official said snowfall has continued in the Banihal area, making road conditions slippery. He added that no vehicles have been reported stranded so far and the situation remains under control.

Officials said traffic flow will be reviewed once weather conditions improve and road safety is ensured.

Meanwhile, snowfall was reported across the Kashmir Valley, including Srinagar and Ganderbal, as well as in parts of the Jammu region, particularly the Pir Panjal range and the Chenab Valley

Authorities have urged people to strictly follow official traffic advisories amid the prevailing weather conditions.
