SRINAGAR: Recent snowfall has severely affected the operation of Smart City buses in Srinagar.
The operation of Smart City buses in Srinagar city and its outskirts was disrupted, with all buses absent from the roads, causing inconvenience to the public.
Officials from Srinagar Smart City Limited said that the Smart City bus service in the city was affected.
“Due to heavy snowfall during the night, the Pantha Chowk station lost power, preventing the buses from being charged. Now that the situation is under control, we have managed to charge a few buses, and we hope they will be operational on the roads by evening,” said an official.
The snowfall has resulted in the cancellation of all flights and the closure of major roads. (KNO)
