SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Budgam rescued 52 tourists stuck in snow at Parihaas Doodhpathri in Budgam district.

52 stranded tourists at Parihaas Doodhpathri who got stuck due to sudden snowfall rescued.

A police spokesman in statement said that Police Station Khansahib received an information that some tourists were stuck at Parihaaas Doodhpathri while travelling in their vehicles due to sudden snowfall.

Accordingly, a police party of Police Station Khansahib alongwith police personnel on guard duty at Tangnar Doodhpathri were deputed and subsequently all 52 tourists were rescued.

“They were provided necessary assistance & help and were shifted to safe accommodations at Tangnar Budgam. Moreover, similar help was also provided to the needy in other locations of the district like Yousmarg, Khag etc,” said police spokesman in a statement.
