SRINAGAR: Ahead of Republic Day celebrations, the Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with the Border Security Force (BSF) and Village Defence Guards (VDGs), carried out a joint search operation in the Arnia sector of Jammu on Tuesday.
The operation was launched as part of heightened security measures to ensure peace and safety in the border area. During the exercise, the entire area was thoroughly sanitized to rule out the presence of any suspicious elements.
They said such coordinated operations are being intensified in sensitive and border areas in view of the upcoming national event to maintain a robust security grid. The situation in the area remains calm and under close watch. (KNC)
