SOG personnel Sunday afternoon attacked the residence of Hurriyat (G) spokesman, Ayaz Akbar and beat him severely. The Hurriyat (G) member told Kashmir Life.
Under house detention at his residence at Maloora HMT, the family sources said the “SOG personnel came and broke window panes of the house and beat Akbar.
They further said that “even the police personnel on guard to enforce Akbar’s detention were abused by the SOG men.”
Meanwhile Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani condemned the attack and termed it ‘barbaric’.
Geelani in his statement said the “task forces ransacked residence of its party spokesman”.
Calling police action as sheer frustration, Geelani termed it “state vandalism” and said that state authorities have “waged war against resistance eldership and common people.”
“They are not following any ethics and resort to highhandedness and bullying .It won’t deter us nor it will break our resolve,” said Geelani .
