Police Friday informed that a soldier shot himself with his service rifle late Thursday inside a barrack in Jammu.
Identified as Gokula Kumar of Kollam (Kerala), the soldier shot himself with his service rifle inside the Chatha camp in Jammu city.
Police said inquest proceedings have started and the body has been shifted to government medical college for post-mortem examination.
