Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti has strongly condemned the twin instances of violence in the Saudi city of Medina.
Ms Mufti was touring the city during which she formally inaugurated three community halls – one each at Natipora, Safakadal and Gangbug. She spoke to the gatherings on these occasions and her speeches revolved round the two instances of violence in Saudi Kingdom that house the two most sacred places of the Muslim world, the Kaaba and Masjid –e- Nabvi.
“It cannot be the handiwork of groups like ISIS,” Ms Mufti said. “Seemingly some big power is using Muslims to de-stabilize the Muslim countries.” She said these instances indicate a larger conspiracy against the Muslim world.
“It is up to Muslims to see and ponder over these conspiracies,” Ms Mufti said. “They will have to decide if they can afford becoming tools of big powers to malign their own faith.”
