Hundreds of Hajin Sonawari residentsWednesday staged a massive protest outside Block Development Office alleging Government has ignored the area and all the roads that link Hajin with other areas are in bad condition. The protestors blamed the Block Development Officer Hajin, Mir Hilal (BDO) for the apathy.
The Protesters alleged that the concerned BDO is apathetic towards the inconvenience caused to villagers. They said that there is no development on ground while people are facing lot of problems.
“Road was not only unfit for use but was also dangerous as the stones injured the pedestrians. During rain and snowfall they were subjected to a great deal of hardship. Among those badly affected are school going children,” one of the protestors told CNS adding that the funds sanctioned have not utilized by BDO for the reasons better known to him.
They alleged that concerned BDO is not concerned about the welfare of the people and never remains present in office.
Despite repeated attempts, BDO Hajin could not be contacted.
